Samsung Galaxy ACE 2 GT-I8160, Without Upgrade OS
Dual core processor already more common for middle-class Android phone. One of phone that uses two-core processor is Samsung Galaxy Ace 2. Successor of Android (Ace series) taht will follow the success of its predecessors in the phone market.
Some minor changes made to tempt the consumer. No exception in physical appearance, spaciousness screen, new interface, and dual-core processor which embedded. Unfortunately, these changes not touch the software aspect that still carry Android Gingerbread. Whereas in other vendor (say HTC) Android ICS has become natural thing in the middle class.
Change the appearance of course geting better. This evolution was done by Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 on the eksterior. One of them its rounded four angle that blunt with ergonomic impression that is thicker than its predecessor.
Larger dimensions (118.3 x 62.2 x 10.5 mm) makes it look bigger than the previous generation phone (112.4 x 59.9 x 11.5 mm). Problems? Actually even beneficial with body that large enough, visual comfort can even be inflated.
On screen, for example, not only more spacious (3.8 inches), it is also more clear and sharp; using PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. Proof of its authenticity can produce sharpness pixels up to 480 x 800 pixels (246 ppi pixel density).
On the button, Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 has in common with its predecessor that only includes three buttons. That is back button, home, and settings. Similar to the existing functions on Android phones generally. Previous user already familiar with these location of buttons.
Large body, wide screen, familiar button, then what is missing? Its body material seems really plastic. Its glossy coating that shiny making this phone comes from lower class. Moreover, the plastic body that is in the back, look convincing and less powerful when should accidentally clash with hard objects.
Touchwiz 4.0 interface used on Ace 2. There are seven pages of homescreen that can be customized. Adding shortcut icon, widget, folder, wallpaper becomes easy. You can simply do tap and hold to set a variety of purposes in the main screen. In processor, this phone embedded two core processor with NovaThor U8500 800 MHz, while its predecessor single-core with Qualcomm MSM7227.
Various wish was made possible thanks to support its hardware device. Not just doing multitask with a full activity. Playing games with level of speed and high graphics such as Real Football 2012 and Six Guns can be run smoothly and minimal lag.

Speaking of buttons, value of minus that most felt, the absence of camera shutter button. Shooting object sometimes uncomfortable when having to touch screen as an image recording media execution. But fortunately this can be tricked by execute it with the thumb so that can minimize the shock when photographing.
Now it’s time to see the shots. In Text mode, or that is used to take pictures of documents from close range the result relatively good. Not only focus still maintained, but the colors details can also be recorded naturally. This proves the quality of lens that was adopted not cheap. Although the quality of sharpness same as sharpness of its predecessor.
Similarly in testing with the color chart, color gradation that shown can look good. In fact, while taking picture in a room with light using only fluorescent lamps that luminous enough.
Now when shooting inside room with low light. The results remain reliable though not as good as when shooting outdoors. When tried with or without flash, the result not bad. Unfortunately when tried with flash when shooting with close range, focus of light flash only accumulate at one point. So it looks there is some photos that the brightness level over and under, even in one picture frame.
Moving to outdoor conditions, you will get encouraging results. Saturation colors look naturally, picture detail that sharp plus sufficient brightness level can be obtained. Just play image composition and angle that fit to get quality photos.
Quality music from Ace 2 quite good. When playing audio player capable translating song that played well. Combines with body speaker as sound output, songs that played melodious and friendly on the ears. Sound quality on speaker still preserved even though the volume pushed up to the highest level.
